Rules & Conditions
We want all of our guests to enjoy a pleasant stay in our hostel. Therefore we ask you to comply with a few house rules during your stay.
We, the operators of the hostel, are responsible for day-to-day operations, so all guidelines issued by us must be followed.
- Make yourself at home and act like it ...
... each guest is responsible for all the inventory entrusted to him. It is not allowed to exchange furniture between rooms or remove it from rooms. It is forbidden to damage walls or furniture with hooks, screws, nails, glue / adhesives and the like. The operators reserve the right to occasionally check the rooms for cleanliness and order. To prevent misunderstandings, guests are advised to lock the doors of their rooms at all times, especially when they are not at home. All fans, lights and electrical appliances must be turned off when not in use. Electricians or other service personnel may enter rooms when necessary. They will be accompanied by the hostel administration
- Think ecological, save energy and water ...
... we are committed to achieving the smallest possible ecological footprint. Therefore, we ask our guests to use these resources appropriately by turning off unnecessary lights and fans. Limit showers to no more than 5 to 10 minutes and close kitchen faucets while soaping dishes.
- Be quiet and considerate ...
... out of consideration for other guests, the hostel must be quiet from 11pm to 7am. Please be very quiet during this time out of courtesy to other visitors, especially if you are using electronic media.
- Smoking is not allowed in the rooms ...
... smoking is prohibited in the entire Vela VEGA. The ban applies to rooms, corridors, lounges, guest kitchens and reception areas. The no smoking rule applies to staff and guests alike and was implemented to provide a comfortable environment for all our guests during their stay at Vela VEGA. Our hostel offers large outdoor areas with garden areas, tables and benches, so anyone who wants to smoke can easily find a place to do so.
- Take nothing that does not belong to you ...
... guests are expected to respect other guests as well as staff, residents and property - the comfort, safety and security of our guests are very important to us. Any guest who, in the opinion of our staff, interferes with the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or residents will be asked to leave the hostel premises and will not receive a refund.
- Clean up after yourself ...
... Food may only be prepared and eaten in designated areas. Due to fire safety requirements, insurance standards and health regulations, the use of electrical appliances to prepare food or hot beverages in your room is not permitted. You are responsible for cleaning the kitchen counter, floor, and equipment used to prepare your meals. This includes the refrigerator.
... we provide bed linen and towels free of charge, so bed linen must be used at all times in all rooms. All beds require the use of sheets, comforter covers and pillowcases while in use. You may bring your own bedding and towels, but the use of sleeping bags is not permitted in the rooms.
... DO NOT throw anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. DO NOT put feminine hygiene products in the toilets as they will clog. Do not keep your things in the bathroom / toilet.
- Respect other customs and traditions ...
... Discrimination of any kind will NOT be tolerated. In case of violation, guests will be asked to leave the hostel premises and will not receive any refund.
- Still leave room for others in the common areas ...
... Common areas are available to all residents. Do not leave or store anything there. Remove personal property from common areas when leaving. Property left at the hostel will be donated to a charity if not picked up 15 days after check-out.
- Take your time in the baths, but let the others have it too ...
... not only to save resources, but also to ensure other guests have a chance to stay in the bathrooms, limits showers to a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes.
- Be kind to animals, we are too ...
...Vela VEGA is also home to animals, both partial and permanent. Be kind to them, they will thank you. Own animals are allowed in the hostel only after agreement.
- Take a room for private things ...
... Visitors, out of consideration for other guests of the hostel, are strictly forbidden to spend the night in shared dormitories under any circumstances. There are enough double rooms available in the hostel, which can be booked separately. Every effort will be made to respect the privacy of the guests.
- Hands off drugs and weapons ...
... it is forbidden to bring weapons of any kind into the hostel. Illegal drugs of any kind are not allowed or tolerated in the hostel. Violation of the above rules will result in immediate termination of the stay and a call to the appropriate authorities.
Guests are expected to reimburse Vela VEGA for any damages caused by inappropriate behavior during their stay.
- Check-in: New arrivals can check in at the hostel every day after 15:00. Valid identification is required - we accept a passport, photo ID and / or driver's license, which includes additional information from the guests. Payment must be made in advance for the entire duration of the stay.
- Check-out: Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their rooms by 13:00. Exceptions can be made after consultation with the hostel management. All rented items or vehicles must be returned at check-out. When you check out, please leave the room as clean and tidy as you found it upon arrival. Cleaning includes emptying trash cans and returning linens and used towels to their designated bins.
General
The operators of Vela VEGA are not liable for bodily injury, theft, loss or damage of personal belongings. Guests who have been expelled from the hostel will not be refunded. Guests are expected to reimburse the hostel for any damage caused by inappropriate behavior. Inappropriate behavior will result in eviction without refund from the premises. Management reserves the right to refuse a future booking to any person who violates the Hostel's rules. Management will verbally communicate reasons for such action to any visitor denied a stay.
Vela VEGA operators reserve the right to revise the rules and regulations from time to time and to keep guests informed of changes in the form of notices posted on the hostel boards. Ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse.
